Regional Meetings
School health centers in North Carolina are spread across a state that requires almost eight hours to travel from the farthest centers, east and west. The Alliance promotes and supports twice-a-year Regional Meetings in the Western and Eastern parts of the state that offer opportunities for all center staff and interested community members to attend one-day events. These meetings provide a time for networking with other center staff members, for clinical and administrative education, for technical assistance, and for updates in the public policy arena related to the work of the centers.
Annual Conference
NCSCHA hosts an Annual Conference that is open not only to school health center staff, but also to those individuals and communities interested in starting school health centers, partner organizations with similar health and education missions, and anyone interested in learning more about the centers’ value to the state. Program content is targeted to the surveyed needs of center members and focuses on both clinical updates for providers and administrative/funding assistance for management. Continuing education credits for all related professions are available. The Annual Conference is traditionally held early in December.
